last night's party

last night i watched USC blow an 18 pt halftime lead to UNC. fockers! then went to this crazy hipster party called Ruff Club that is every friday next door to my apt at a spot called Annex. these kids are really into this jive. the energy is so different than what I'm used to at nyc spots. people were like hugging each other, bouncing around and singing along to crap (possibly a result of heavy amts of drugs, but who cares!). i'm just so used to people trying to act so stiff, cool and fabulous, that it was refreshing. kind of reminded me of the vibe we used to have at house parties in college.

Sup peoples. So my brother recently moved to China and started a blog to document his experience. Funny enough, after about a month of blogging, he can no longer view his own blog. He can post to it, but it looks like the Chinese forces that be have censored viewing of any blogspot.com sites. Kinda crazy. Anyhow, peep out his blog if you get a chance. Some funny adventures.

Literally, I came out at 5:30 in the morning demanding to be smoked out for putting up with an Audio barrage that sounded like it was coming from my own head.

Energy Self Sufficient Island in Denmark

I saw a good story on the CBS evening news tonight. Samso Island in Denmark was challenged by the Danish government to attempt to be energy self sufficient and emissions. After the introduction of several wind farms, solar cells, and other means of green energy production, it seems as though they have succeeded. The island has added more offshore windfarms and have begun selling power back into the grid on the mainland.

So I have a friend from college who is on the current season of Survivor. Kinda weird to see a guy on national TV who used to hangout at my apt and eat chicken fingers while watching Old School. Mookie is his name. He's one of the cooler Asian cats I know. He's even got his own ringtones now. Check em out!

This was an early round, but the most debate I have seen was over who took this battle, Machine (Rock Force, Zulu Kingz, Baysic Project) vs. Lego (Flipside Kings). Machine went on to win the whole thing. If I had to pick one bboy to represent the dance over the past couple years, it would probably be Machine, he's just nasty.
